AudioCodes SIP client call Routing to OCS RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I have an AudioCodes MP-118 that I have a SIP client connected to.  The client can call outbound through an FXO port to the world but I have not been able to figure out how to configure the MP-118 to route calls from this SIP client into the Mediation Gateway for OCS enabled extensions.

I can call into OCS extensions (clients) from anywhere and I can call out from OCS extension to anywhere.

    Any ideas?

  • I think the MP118 does not support this because that is SIP to SIP traffic

As I remember correctly you can only have one SIP connection with MP118

You required the Mediant 1000 or 2000 to do that

You also need appropriate licenses for this

Please contact your Audiocodes vendor for more information

Is there any way to connect the sip client to the mediation gateway instead of the MP-118?  This project is still in the pilot stages and I don't have the funding for a 1000 series yet.

  • The Mediation Server is not a Registrar server so that won't be possible

You do have freeware SIP Servers that can connect to OCS

    The Personal/Academic is free

And use the X-Lite client (also free) to connect to the Sip Server

Connect the Sip server to OCS (Sip TCP and Codecs are important)
