Downgrade from Vista back to XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am looking for a way to downgrade my dell XPS desktop from Vista back to XP. I have had nothing but problems since my upgrade. I updated my Video card and added 3 ram and all was fine until I upgraded from XP to Vista. This computer means so much to me my father bought it for me before he passed and I really want to fix it or atlease try

  • The only way to downgrade an OS is to reformat and reinstall using the original media and Key.

Contact yur manufacturer and see if they have a set of Recovery disks for the machine.

No - I do not work for Microsoft, or any of its contractors.

  • The only way to downgrade an OS is to reformat and reinstall using Full Retail Media and Key. (Unless you have access to Colume license media and Key)
