Hi,this is Prasad,
I am trying to configure CRM4.0 Email router With POP3.We have an external pop3 and smtp based Email
service.
In email router configuation Manager,while we are testing the access we are getting these Error
""Incoming Status: Failure - An error occurred while executing POP3 command "<Command removed for security reasons>". The server response was: "-ERR authorization first". ""
Anybody having any idea about this error,I gone through the CRM Official guides and also other guides,but no use.Please reply anybody,having any idea about it.
Thanks&Regards

Check in the event logs on the ER server, there may be an event related to emails it doesn't like.
Verify that the latest update rollup is installed.

Hi,
the answer is in the error log.
<snip>
The server response was: sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts
<snip>
The external POP3 must have a rule, that allows your domain to use him to send emails. Speak with the provider of the pop3 server you want to use.

is your smtp setup to use a username and password?

hi, thanks for reply
Pop3 & SMTP both are providing third party from outside,so,we configured our clients to use their accounts in MS Outlook2007.While configuring the outlok,we will give the username and password for Incoming {pop3},outgoing{smtp}.
Thanks
