  • General Expecations of a Nokia to Windows mobile are high.
When its discovered that simple simple basic things are missing and frequent crashes, battery pulls , soft reset , hard resets are being bombarded, user beigins to feel frustrated .
Some times I feel, it was tolerable if my computer crashed and I got held up for data processing to restore in a day or two.
When my phone crashes, its worst !
I cannt afford to be out of touch for a Second !
    .
Its like  Buying a Car with expecations of having Latest James Bond Mantras  turing out to be Vintage Car , which would not have a button Start, , you need to rotate a handle ,you have to add Water as coolent every two hours and ask folks, on the forums, to push it hard. !!
There has to be a tight Wall betn Phone and the PC compotanat. Phone must be better than Nokia and PC better than Mac . Its exactly opposite now about the windows phone I am experiancing.

Kindly note down and mention Every Day, for your Windows Phone, how many times did you have to :
In bracket , my todays values :
    1.Clear Ram. ( Every Hour)
    2.Clear the Catche (Every Hour)
3.Clear the Cookies (Every 3 Hours)
4.Pull Battery to reset (4 times a today)
5.Phone Hanged during PC used.( Twice today)
6.PC hanged during Phone use. ( Twice today)
    7.Soft Reset ( Twice)
    8. Hard reset. (Before a week)

My Dream : A touch phone without any need to have discussions and Forums, simple, loud, functional, entertaining.

  • Kindly note down and mention Every Day, for your Windows Phone, how many times did you have to :
In bracket , my todays values :

3.Clear the Cookies (Every 3 Hours)
4.Pull Battery to reset (4 times a today)
5.Phone Hanged during PC used.( Twice today)
6.PC hanged during Phone use. ( Twice today)
    7.Soft Reset ( Twice)
    8. Hard reset. (Before a week)
    So here are my results:
    1.Clear Ram ... NEVER
    2.Clear the Catche ... NEVER
    3.Clear the Cookies...  NEVER
4.Pull Battery to reset ... NEVER
5.Phone Hanged during PC used... NEVER
6.PC hanged during Phone use....  NEVER
7.Soft Reset ... usually once (SOMETIMES TWICE) a day to release memory that has been used by a program and not released when closed
    8. Hard reset... only at my option because I wanted to "clean up" my device and get rid off the stuff I no longer use and get a fresh start again

I don't think that will ever happen but it certainly is a nice goal to accomplish.

  • My experiences with my windows phones pretty much parallels Jack's experiences.

Perhaps if you provide some detail about the issues you are encountering, we could help you figure out what could be causing such problems.

  • brand really matter. I have used a device that I cannot receive calls even if it displays a full radio signal, but I am happy with my existing device now. may I know what device you are using?

  • I'm using the HTC Touch Pro2 and the Verizon Imagio.  Both have provided me with a great experience

  • I am currently switching back and forth between two different WM6.5 phones - the HTC Touch Diamond 2 and an HP IPAQ Glisten.  Both work great, but the HP IPAQ Glisten consistently gives me the best 3G signal.
