big issue with users security role RRS feed

  • HI,

    I've two users, which has the same BU, everything the same but one can see datas in the report and the other one NOT but he can see the report empty.

    How can I please troubleshoot this?

    I checked the query and the filled required and all fields are filled in...

  • Is entity ownership = user owned ?

    Or the user has configured the security role on the entity = READ / Write = user.

  • There are a couple of things it could be

    - The users have different security roles

    - The security roles are set to 'read' + 'user' (a yellow quater filled dot)

    - The records are shared with one user, or one users team, but not the other user

  • it could be possible that these records are shared with other user manually...Also check if both user have same security roles or not..

  • One possiblity could be two users are having different security roles assigned and Access Level of entity READ Privilege for security role of second user [who is unable to view records] are set to USER.

    Other could be Ownership for entity is set to "User" and second user is NOT owning any records for that entity. This could be the reason for being able to see the Empty report.

  • It may be too late for the original poster, but if I recall correctly, I believe there was some kind of issue with filtered views in SQL and Activity dates that was fixed in an Update Rollup.  Not sure which one it was, exactly, but I would recommend applying the latest UR (at this time is UR13) to see if that fixes the issue.
