Activities and Notes on an entity

Question
-
Hi all,While creating an entity in CRM 4.0, it asks about the relationships with the notes and activities.I wonder that is there any performance difference between entities which have notes and activities and those which doesn't have these relations.and second point is, is there any supported way to cancel these notes and activity relation?.Actually I handle this by removing relations from the XML but I think it is not supported.Thank you.Tuesday, August 18, 2009 11:16 AM

I haven't seen a performance difference between entities with/without activities - if your notes viewer is on the first tab, the page may appear to load a little slower than it would otherwise.
There isn't a supported way to remove notes/activities after the entity is created - but I,too, have removed them from the XML by exporting the entity definition, editing the xml, deleting the entity and re-importing/recreating the entity. - a lot of work, but if you have a lot of attributes already on the entity, it might be worth it.
I personally avoid creating notes/activities on custom entities, unless they are essential to the process. - I find that the more places there are to store a note/activity - the more difficult it is to find what you're looking for after the fact.
