     I am a new Windows 8 user and find the startup very cumbersome.  Is there any way to disable the welcome screen at startup?  I have looked at other tech websites and been advised to modify the "rpe enabled" file in regedit.  However, when I go into regedit I can find no file with that name.  Can anyone assist me or is this a step that is not possible with this OS?  Thank you.
