I installed pp3 recently and waited for the media center connector software to prompt to install when i started my media center. It did not. So after searching on google I found that I do not have the source files for installing this tool on my home server's software directory (this also means I do not have the shortcut in my start\programs folder either). Somehow this was not included when I did my upgrade of my whs (I did the upgrade in the supported manner). Is there any way I can download these files directly?
There's no way to download the files directly, no. What version numbers are reported on your server in the console, settings tab, resources view?I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
FYI I am having the same issue. Windows Home Server Console: 6.0.2423.0 Windows Home Server Backup & Restore: 6.0.2423.0 Windows Home Server Drive Extender: 6.0.2423.0 Windows Home Server Remote Access: 6.0.2423.0 Windows Home Server Storage Manager: 6.0.2423.0
Running Vista/MCE on the remote computer. Nothing to do with setting up Remote access correct?

Like I said before there is no media center connector software on the Software folder on my whs. I tried copying the files from one of my other vista machines, which is working fine (this is from pp2), but it appears it is not compatible with windows 7.
