  • Hi Mike,

I've worked around the problem. I've edited the post and removed all of the HTML that was causing the rendering issue.

Btw, upon editing your post there was nothing much to recover. All of the data (HTML) that I saw where links to profile pages and that was it. Don't know what happened.

At least it's rendering fine now :). Please go ahead and edit your post to modify the contents

    Thanks.

  • I'm not sure I understand the problem here.  Could you please explain what you did, what you expected to happen and what actually happened?  thanks.

  • Mike,

Looks like some HTML got messed up while after posting your reply.

We'll take a look at this.

  • I can see the confusion. It looks like an MS Moderator went in after I posted the link here and edited my post  in that thread (and thereby made this invalid as an example).

What happened was that I made a standard reply and when that reply was added to the thread that post had acquired a lot of additional stuff (the stuff being things taken from the standard forums web page such as the entire set of My Forum Links (normally seen in the top right of the screen))

This happened a few times around the same time frame (early May) and unlike that MS moderator, whenever I tried to remove the extra stuff it wouldn't go!

  • There's a lot of mock-up on your last reply. I can look into it and see if I can fix it up.

  • Thanks Dan. I wasn't bothered about that one post, I was just (trying to!) using that as an example of what a perfectly normal Save of a Reply was causing to happen.

    Mike

(I tried to amend the HTML after it happened and go nowhere - it's so long ago I don't remember why not)

  • I'm looking to see if what else could have caused. So far no repro.
Anyhow, if it does happen again, we'll into it further.
