suggestion - style sheet dropdown list RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • As far as I know (I'm using WordPress) WLW has no problems reading your style sheet and when you’re writing your post it does a pretty awesome job at showing you what it will look like on your web site (good work ppl!).

So with that in mind I think it would be really great if we were provided with a drop down list of these styles (similar to the paragraph dropdown list) so that you can select a class from your own style sheet to apply to something on the page rather than going into the source code and editing it manually. It's a small thing I know but it might be a handy time-saver for example I'm always going in and change the image alignment to my own float-left class (because I need to get rid of the align attribute inside the img tag for WAI tests). What do you think, would this be really hard to do?

  • The biggest challenge is separating the useful classes from the useless classes. If you check our your CSS, my guess is that there will be a lot of style information, and if we were to put all of into a drop down for you, it would be difficult to use (since the useful styles would be mixed with the useless styles in one long list).

Great suggestion, though, definitely something that we'd like to do!
