Syncing Outlook 2007

Question
-
I have a laptop w/ vista and a netbook w/ windows 7. I need to be able to sync the outlook 2007 on each computer, so that outlook 2007 is fully functional and has my most up to date files on each computer. This is what I have done; however, it does not work. First, I create a sync partnership w/ the entire outlook folder (...\user\appdata\local\microsoft\outlook) between the laptop and a NAS device (this was done due to firewall issues). Then, a second partnership was formed between the NAS device and the netbook to the outlook folder (...\user\appdata\local\microsoft\outlook). This worked for the initial sync between the computers, however, after using outlook 2007 on either computer, it does not sync (emails are missing, in the wrong location, etc).
any suggestions as to the best way to sync 2 outlook 2007's on seperate computers would be greatly appericated!

HI cyclists,
Is there any error informations be throw out?
Please close outlook before syncing via synctoy, and make sure the Outlook PST file is NOT-in-use.
When you run sync with synctoy, did you just run after close outlook, as you know, the OS sometimes will not release the file handler immediately after you close the application.
Thanks,
Joey

No, there are not any error messages or information.
Outlook was shut down for a while and the Outlook PST file was not in use when performing the syncs.
The same problem still persists.

Also notable was that when I synced for the first time, since the netbook was new, I performed an echo to the netbook and then changed it to a sync partnership. Also, when running outlook 2007 for the first time on the netbook, I had to import the file the synced PST file into outlook.

HI cyclists,
Some questions in your synctoy:
1. Is there a PST file be found in Preview windows?
2. The sync is work or not? if not, is there any error be through out? pls check the log in sycntoy and share out to me.
3. for sync PST file, my exprience is: MUST CLOSE(shutdown) OUTLOOK before running sync, pls open "task manager" -> Processes TAB, make sure there is no process named "OUTLOOK.EXE".
Hope this can help.

Cyclists,
Just a warning - all your mail and folders etc are in the one pst file this file can get very big (mine is 830Mb) so syncing this will take forever.
I have met a similar issue trying to backup the mailbox - you cant do an incremental backup as its just one file. If you are interested there are alternative strategies to give you a quite reasonable compromise between copying everything and having your mail available.
Cheers
