Windows 7 activated, but not validated RRS feed

  • Brand new Win7 OEM purchased from Newegg.  Installed and activated, but now I am trying to download windows xp virtual machine, and I get:

  • Try running the WGA Diagnostic Tool as outlined in Windows Genuine Advantage does not validate a copy of Windows XP.

  • The little I can find on this indicates a possible connection problem. If you haven't started the support incident yet check to see if you are behind a firewall, software or hardware. If you are behind a software firewall disable it and attempt to validate at www.microsoft.com/genuine if you are behind a hardware firewall then the no cost support or contacting a network andministrator (if applicable) may be required.
