Create Active directory for CRM 2011 installation

i want to install the CRM 2011 trial version.

i installed SQL server and installing CRM 2011 now.

i got to the "Select an active directory Organizational unit (OU) ...." screen.

Do i need to create one on the same server ?

i read the step-by-step installation guide:

but it takes under consideration i have an active directory.

when i push "Browse" i get "Unable to browse for active directory objects" message.

what do i do now?

If you are creating a single server deployment it will also need to be a domain controller - this can be done by running "dcpromo" from the command line.

Once a domain has been created, you will need to create an Organizational Unit (just call it CRM or something else descriptive) for all the CRM objects to placed into.
