  • Hi -

You can sync in one direction by setting up an Echo relationship. So syncing down from Sharepoint would mean making the share point folder the left folder and the other drive the right folder in a folder pair relationship.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Please correct me : you are saying you are trying to sync with a folder that you see in browser in your sharepoint site.

And you can locate this folder only by specifying a URL as http://...

The current SyncToy version can sync folders over a network share or on a mapped volume, apart from folders on the same machine. It cannot sync with a URL specified as http:// yet.

If you can somehow know the network folder and map to it, it may work.

Nevertheless, I will ask the developers out here to see if this can work somehow.

If it can, will post back with more details.

    thanks,

  • Ok, so I found out more. Currently SyncToy cannot sync upto the sharepoint, but it can

    sync down from sharepoint.

    Thanks,

  • I understand the syncing from SharePoint should be possible, but I can't seem to make it work. The webDAV URL starts with HTTP and SyncToy simply refuses to take it so I don't see how you could make it work. I suspect that the fact that our SharePoint is connected through a custom port (8989) could be the cause of this, but I would like this to be confirmed.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

  • I was able to do it following these instructions:

    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/cjohnson/archive/2005/10/12/479855.aspx

Once mapped as a drive the http://server... can be referred to with a \\server... path in SyncToy
