  • Question

  •

Can I use Windows Live Sky Drive as a backup location for Windows Live Onecare?  And if so, how do I do it?

    Thanks.

  • This would be great, I know Notorn 360 has something like this.

Steve...do you know when we might see this feature added?

  • Even if this is on the roadmap for OneCare, I wouldn't know when it will be made available. Considering that the online photo backup in OneCare (at extra cost for supported locales) uses the same concept of storage "in the cloud," I'd say that allowing all backups to a server on the Internet isn't too far fetched. I would count on it too soon, though.

  • Well to hopefully give a friendly nudge, I went ahead and sent a suggestion to the Windows Live Team.

    Hey you never know.

I don't think it would be enough storage (5gb) for heavy video or picture users, but for those who have the need for only a small amount of storage it would be perfect.

Those that need more storage can go for a pay service, that charges for more storage space, above 5gb.

I think this would be a great plus for "Windows Live" and "Windows Liveonecare", and another great selling point for the service.
