dut transfer returns Ret: 0x80050003

    Question

  • Hello,

I just got a SORA kit delivered and attached the RCB to my mainboard.

I installed the HW Test driver, and tried running dut.exe. (I'm using SORA SDK 2.0)

    > dut start --radio 0

    Ret: 0x00000000

    > dut transfer --file c:\testfile.txt

    Ret: 0x80050003

What does this return value mean? I think this indicates an error, since there is no cached signal.

Would you tell me what could be the problem?

    My mainboard is Gigabyte Z87-HD3

I plugged the SORA RCB to the first PCI-E slot.

    Thanks.

    Kevin

  • You cannot transfer raw input file with dut command.
dut transfer --file c:\testfile.txt is not going to work.

You may want to convert your raw input file to signal waveform (.sig file) then transfer converted signal waveform with dut command.

The manual has instruction to tell you how to do so.

    According to this
    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/64863fb7-d292-459a-beef-9e8f4bb3b0a0/problems-about-using-dut-tool-to-transmit-signal?forum=sora

You could use command 'demod11.exe -m ...' to generate signal wavefrom using raw input file.

  • Thanks Muye,

Also, it seems that SORA currently doesn't work well with i7-4770..

Using a machine with i7-3770, the transfer succeed.
