  • Hello Stephen,

    I have the same problem here...and i have done all in the above.
    my OS is Genuine version...and still i get the error: The system may be low on disk space. please check available disk space. (error: 0x800402c9.

    Thank you for posting in the WGA Forum today :-). Curious have you ordered the WGA Kit as yet? The error code, 0x800402c9, which you are experiencing is indicative the current Windows XP is too corrupt for the Product Key tool to function as designed. Currently the Windows XP Professional installed is a blocked volume licensing key. If you did order the WGA Kit then you will have to wait unit it arrives and perform a complete re-installation of Windows. Please make sure that you back up all of your data before undergoing this proceedure.
