Create custom fields automatically RRS feed

    Lets assume that I'm preparing a deploy package with a few standard custom fields that I allways use in each customer.

    If I want to create these fields, how do I use the PSI to create them automatically. Assuming that I want to develop an executable that performs these actions.

    I need to create fields and views.

    Is there any example?

    And I would (and do), just deploy a set of pre-configured databases that contain the fields.  This also has the advantage of installing everything I want to pre-populate, including holidays, formulas, views, etc etc....

    Very easy to do, but you have to be prepared to work with the DBA guys which isn't always possible (don't you DARE touch my DB server!)

    I probably wouldn't use the PSI to create these, but simply use the playbook feature to create them.
