CRM 2011 outlook client install error (Outlook 2007)

  got CRM 2011 installed ok, installed outlook client - folder structure created (no issues with organisation or connection etc) but whenever i try and create a new contact (for example) i just get a blank dialog screen. Interestingly if i try and go offline, it says do i wish to install the required components, if i select No then the live contacts appear in Outlook, my reading pane appears ok, but again if i try and say edit a contact then blank dialog screen appears. i do on occassions get an error which the signature reads as the following.
