    Q. After conducting the Tune-up, the results indicate that my hard drives had a partial defragmentation.  Repeated steps over to no avail.  What is the problem here?  Does this system really work?

  • There is no problem. Defrag running under Tune-up executes a timed Defrag without analyzing the drive first. It simply chugs along until time is up.

It may never actually "complete" unless you run Tune-up frequently and you don't save or change large files often. Defrag is still working to improve performance. The message at the end of Tune-up is unfortunate in that it causes undue concern. A PC file system fragments all the time, so even when Defrag says it is 100% complete, the file system is already beginning to fragment once again.
