PP3 Notification Problems? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys.  recently noticed that my whs automatically updated itself to pp3.   Due to the current high power costs, I have started shutting down my systems overnight.  However on doing this, any other system left running shows a red whs icon stating that xxxx system's av is out of date & no spyware protection.

Never happened with pp1 or 2, so is this a problem with pp3, or is there a problem with my whs?

  • This is mostly a problem with Windows 7, probably because of changes in the way the security center works. When a computer shuts down, it may stop the antivirus sotware that's installed early enough in the shutdown process that Windows Home Server is notified.

My suggestion is to report this as a bug on Connect.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
