Project Server 2007 Cube Build issues with SQL 2008 R2 RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    We are receiving an error with Project Server 2007 when trying to build cubes against a SQL 2008 R2 Analaysis Server.

    The Cube Build Status returns

    ===== Building database and cubes =====
    [4/3/2012 4:37 PM] Cube build session started
    ===== Process Completed =====
    [4/3/2012 4:37 PM] Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error:

    Note there is no error message following the Error:

    The ULS returns the following error message

    Any help would be greatly appreciated?

  • I figured it out.

    The problem was sql client alias in the PWA instance configuration.

    Once this was replaced with a full sql name and instance name the cube build worked fine.

    Do you have Project Server 2007 SP2 installed ?

    Is it a single server deployment ?

  • I figured it out.
