Validation Incomplete: Unable to Perform Validation error RRS feed

  • After recovering two different IBM PCs using the IBM recovery utilites, I find I am unable to validate them in order to obtain the needed updates.


    The WGA Diagnostic tool run on the most recent one results in the following:

    I note the WGA Diagnostic tool shows the product key as being different as the one printed on the side of the case... but changing the key to the one there gives the same results... The cryptic error:

    Validation Incomplete: Unable to Perform Validation error

    These PCs were purchased on contract direct from IBM with XP preinstalled, so there should be no problems such as this.

    I'd hate to think I have to go through this for each and every PC I want to restore back to as IBM originally sent us...
