Error C004B100 RRS feed

  • Question

  • As a tech with a Registered Refurbisher yesterday I got Win7 Pro product keys for four machines I'm refurbishing. Three validate with no problem but the fourth gives me an C004B100 error. Now that in turn refers to a MAK code, but (of course) we don't have any need for MAK licenses here. How may I correct this to get this machine validated?

  • MGA Diagnostic Report is Required:

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
     Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

  • Thank you. Unfortunately I posted the complaint you replied to after six successive failures. Sometime later in the day I tried a seventh time to then get validated quite properly. So, I guess we'll never know. However, I've saved the link to that tool just in case I get bedeviled again.
