Live Writer uploads 6 versions of every picture: the original size, a 150x150 sized version, a version of the size used in the editor and for each of the files a thumb version. Why? This wastes a considerable amount of disk space. Wouldn't it be enough to upload those sizes that are actually used (the displayed size, and the source). Is there a way to change this behavior of Live Writer?
Windows Live Writer only uploads 2 of each image. One is the inline thumbnail and one is the image you see when you click the thumbnail, if you don't have a click through image, then it doesn't upload it. Wordpress Image Gallery is what is creating multiple different versions of each image. I know people in the past have been able to configure Wordpress to stop this, but I don't know details on how.-Brandon Turner [MSFT]
