  • Question

  • I have windows xp service pack 3 installed on my pc. I have been used it for about 3 years. I have updated it very much frequently and got 500's of updates. But when I installed microsoft security essentials on my system, it reports that my windows is not genuine.
I used 100% genuine window, but now I am getting this problem. Even Microsoft Genuine validation tool also reports the window to be non - genuine, and reports that " You may be a victim of software counterfeiting". I am not sure that this problem is due to microsoft security essentials. It may be due to any other reason. Please help me....

Your installation of Wndows is based on a Volume License Key that was never issued by MS – which means that it was instead generated by a hacker’s KeyGen utility.

If your machine has a COA sticker on it for Windows XP Pro, you can try changing the Key to that one, using the Product Key Update Tool – otherwise you are faced with a complete reformat/reinstall using lgitimate media and a legitimate Key...
