Cannot download Address Book RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we are now with RTM servers and we cann't download ABS on XP SP2 clients with communicator  RTM.
We have installed OC on Windows 2003 SP1 and the ABS's download is good => Server configuration seems to be fine !!!!
Just for test, we have used OC RTM with OCS Beta3 and all works fine too .....

We don't understand (pb IE params, registry, patches ...), can someone who had the same problems help us ?

    Best regards,

    Loïc Marrot

    PS:
Error message in OC is :
"Cannot synchronize with the corporate address book. This may be because the proxy server setting in your web browser does not allow access to the address book.If the problem persists, contact your system administrator"

  • We found a solution !

With IE on XP clients we have the parameter "check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)" checked and unchecked on Windows 2003.

When this parameter is unchecked, Address book Synchronization is good in all our cases.

  • Hi,

we made additional tests. And we saw that by deactivating the SSL: the downloading of ABS was held correctly by also changing the URL interns with wbemtest.

Front End servers are in Windows 2003 SP1 and we wonder whether the method with Handler would not be in conflict with patches SP2.

If you have an issue with SSL ...

  • Mariusz,

we noticed that the crl certificate has more importance in the RTM than in the beta3 since our IE parameters didn't change during the migration.
Actually we renew all of our certificates to correct this.
