key problem

I came home from work today & started typing a email.

every time I hit the "d" key on my keyboard my PC beeps & it types this: --- asdfjkl;\213

I have to copy & paste the leter d just to send this message..

What the heck is going on?

First of all, I would test with another keyboard. If it's a laptop use a usb's one. Just seem a broken keyboard.

If the problem persist, I suggest to post the problem in the windows 7 forum, http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/threads.
