master project publishing problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I can't publish a master project (Project Server 2007)

Only saving is working, no publishing (from PWA and pro)

    In the queue I see:

Project Save from Project Professional - Cancelled 16%. Please help with this issue.

  • I experienced the same issue, "save for sharing" resolved the issue.

    1)      Open the plan in project professional 2007.

    2)      From the file menu click on ‘Save for Sharing’

    3)      Save the plan on Desktop

    4)      Now click on Save As from File menu. It will open the ‘Save to Project Server ‘ window.

    5)       Click on ‘Save’ ( If it will prompt you to overwrite the plan click yes )

    6)      Close the project plan and re-open it.

    7)      Save the plan and publish it.

  • I wonder if you have the option "Allow master projects to be saved and published to Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 " checked.  This can be found under Server Settings under Operational Policies then Additional Server Settings.

  • Could you please look at this error?

Perhaps with this dump it's better to determine what's wrong.

I can't understand this "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_MSP_PROJECT_CALENDARS'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object "
