  • Windows Product ID: 00359-232-6380684-86943

The product ID -232- Indicates a not for resale MSDN account. If you are not the account holder and you purchased this in a retail box, the box and it's contents are counterfeit. Demand an immediate refund from the seller

    For more information see this:

    And this:

To see how good these counterfeits are becoming, see:

You will have to purchase a legitimate windows from a legitimate retailer.

    your office is not genuine

  • thank you for your answer.

I bought my computer with an "OEM system BUILDER PACK" of windows 7 from a well known company.

the first time it happened, i took the computer to them and they told me that they have contacted microsoft and solved the problem.

this time i had suspicions and posted here.

following your answer, i checked the disc and it does look suspicious .

what do you suggest me to do? shall i contact the seller again? could it be a second time coincidence?

or should i report microsoft about this?

  • First check that the Key in the report agrees with the Key on your COA sticker.

If there's no COA sticker, since you say that you bought a System Builder pack, it's definitely a counterfeit install, and you should report the vendor to MS and the authorities.

  • Hi again,

I spoke with Microsoft’s representative who told me that he can not help me because of Confidentiality(!). He told me that he can’t check if my windows is legitimate, he can’t tell me what was the solution the first time that Windows has become not genuine (or even if Microsoft was involved or not), He can’t check if the program is MSDN program. In fact, the only thing he can tell me is to contact the seller.

I confronted the seller and he told me that he is legitimate retailer and that he sells only legitimate windows and that the problem is all because of Microsoft and their servers. He said that he have a lot of work fixing all the problems that happens since Microsoft changed their servers. As I mention in my last message – the seller is a well known company.

The seller told me that his solution was to dis-activate windows with a special program and than activate it with the same numbers... He told me its better to leave windows without automatic updates. I told him it’s not a solution. He said it can happen again if it will update automatically. He said that this is the only solution he has to offer and that only Microsoft can fix the source of the problem.

I’m lost and don’t know what to do now... should I believe him? How can I make Microsoft (IL) solve the problem permanently?

thank you for all your help

  • simply put, the seller lied to you. also installing the activation hacks won't help.

what is this well known company?

you can report piracy here. (it's possible you may get a complimentary copy)
