  • Hello JackQuest,

      a) They already gave you a product key that has been shown to be Invalid by Product Activation.

      b) They tell you to download a trial version (which is ok since a trial version can be transformed into a full verion with a valid full version key) but they then want you to install some other software over the top? that doesn't make sense. If the Product key is Genuine, the trial version of Office + the Genuine Full version key should be enough

      c) They just Gave you a 2nd Product Key. (the keys are what cost the money. By giving you another key, it has cost them twice as much...legit company would try thier hardest to get the first key to work before they gave up profits by giving another key...wouldn't they?)

      d) I just looked at their website...70% discount on Office 2007 Standard? ($118.00 down from $399.95) Wow, that strikes me as "too good to be true" considering all the trusted retailers I have looked at have it listed at around $330.00ish for the standard full version.

Unfortunatly, I can't tell for sure if the key is Genuine or not because my new tools don't allow me to check Office Keys from a Diagnostic Report. However, I recommend trying to Activate by Phone, but when you get to the phone prompt voice, either select the option to talk to a Live Activation Rep or if there is no option, don't enter anything into the propmt, that will force the phone prompt to transfer you to a Rep.  The Activation Rep do have the ability to check a product key.

If they Activation Rep tells you that the key is Blocked, Invalid or otherwise Non-Genuine in any way, then I recommend that you immediately arrange to return the software/keys to the retailer and demand a full refund. Do Not accept another product key, get your money back.

    Thank you,

    Darin MS
