Change Business Unit after Sharing

Question
-
I have shared some account records to a CRM user using GrantAccess method in the web service(using C# code). Account has parent-child business unit security structure.
Now the Business unit of that user is changed to a different Business unit, not in the same parent.
Will the shared records will be visible to the user now??
In my case, that user can still see those records. But it sould not be the case ideally.
Please confirm.

Hi Joon,
The point of sharing a record is to transcend the business unit / security role structure so that for a particular record, 'sharing' can enable two users who potentially reside in different business units, to collaborate. Changing the user's business unit would have no affect on the record that's been shared.
Hope that clarifies the functionality a little for you,
Rob
P.S. Take a look at this custom workflow activity as it may help you to 'unshare' records in your scenario http://crm40sharestep.codeplex.com/ it's for v4.0 but I think it will upgrade to 2011 ok.
