From whatever virtualization solution you are using (Hyper-V, VMWare Workstation, VirtualBox, .....) you will need to configure the network adapter for the VM to be connected to your physical network adapter that has internet access. Depending on what
solution you are using that can be bridged connection or an External network in the virtual switch manager.
