  • Hello Sebastian,

Well your English is just fine :-). The fix should be fairly simple but may may be a little time consuming. The issue which you are currently experiencing appears to be outside the scope of the Genuine Advantage forum. In an attempt to assist I would like to provide some information which will help.

Please contact Technicial Support for your computer's manufacturer. First I would ask the technician if your Acer has any system recovery software stowed on a hidden partion. This would be the quickest way for system restoration. Should there not be a hidden partion then request recovery medial software CD’s to be dispatched.  Recovery Software CD’s are specific to your computer manufacturer.  Acer should be able to assist with your request and/or questions. Since the telephone number and web sites are not maintained by Microsoft we cannot make any warranty as to their validity.

I have included their contact information here for your convenience:

  • Image D,

Contact eMachines customer support to see if they still have your recovery CD in stock, and if so order a replacement from them.

Microsoft will NOT sell you a replacement CD, since they did not sell you the OS in the first place, eMachines did.

If no luck at eMachines, try www.restoredisks.com
