    hello there i have lost my key code for my windows syatem is there away i can get it back  ?

    Good Morning Paul,

    Thank you for contacting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. Follow the steps Dan provided to you. This should resolve the missing product key issue for you. 

    There is not an avenue to see or get your Product Key from a computer. There are 3rd party applications available that would allow an end user to do this. We are unable to recommend any of them since it would be against our policy. A well phrased search in your favorite search engine should provide you the appropriate means.

    Hello Paul23anderson,

    The owners of Genuine installations of Windows XP can find their Product Key in one of two places:

    1.  If the computer came with Windows XP preinstalled from the manufacturer or systembuilder, the Product Key is printed on the genuine Certificate of Authenticity affixed to the computer's case (if a laptop, look on the bottom).

    2.  If you purchased Windows XP at retail in a nice pretty retail box, the Product Key is printed on a yellow-orange label affixed to the heavy paper CD-holder folder that came in the retail box.

    If you have neither of the above, please run the utility at the link below, click the Copy button in the utility, then paste the results in your response to this message.
