Icon right-click menu not working correctly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anyone want to try this and see if they have the same problem?

I clicked on "exit" on the Home Server icon just to see what would happen. Nothing. I then attempted to reconnect to the server by right-clicking on the icon and no menu appears.
Clicking on Start-Home Server Console will allow me to start the console but has no effect on restoring the right-click menu for the icon.

The only way to restore the icon menu functionality is reboot the system.

With most programs, the icon should disappear when exit is selected. Clicking on Start-Home Server Console should make the icon reappear and allow me to start the console or select the other options from there.

Same thing happen to you? Vote on the bug here:

  • To restart that icon you actually have to go into c:\program files\windows home server\ and double click "WHSTrayApp.exe".  That will open your tray icon again.

  • Thanks. Sounds like something to fix in a later revision.
