Runtime in syncronize call RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using syncFx2.0 in my application. One behavior I have observed is that when I sync a particular syncgroup from a client DB in NewYork to server DB in NewYork, sync takes 2 seconds. But if client DB is in Zurich, but the server is still in NEw York, same sync takes 600 seconds.

Any idea about how to figure out which part in the sync is taking how much time?

    Thanks

    Sumit

  • have you enabled Sync Fx tracing? If you're using WCF, you may want to enable WCF tracing as well.

I'm guessing it's not the actual change enumeration/change application that may be taking time but the actual transport of the changes between NY and Zurich.

The traces should be able to help you figure it out.

    cheers,

  • Hey Sumit,

Which providers from SyncFX2.0 are you using in your app?

    Thanks,
