activation fails after applying hotfixes

Question
-
Built a new computer for myself over the wekeend. Had to re-install after putting windows on the wrong disks (i also added some more disks to the raid configuration). New install works well, activation works fine. Apply first set of updates. ran activation diag -activation is fine.
Installed the security fixes. Suddenly activation stops working. I can undo the hotfixes via system restore but i think this system should be secure. I have no other application besides graphics, intel and audio device drivers and AVG anti-virus + speedfan.
Why is my windows vista considered invalid after i install the security fixes and how do i resolve this?
this is the diagnostic output:

Hi ParB,
Actually, it sounds like you had a bad install of that Update.
How were you able to uninstall the update while in Reduced Functionality Mode? In RFM you shouldn't have access to the Control Panel. This is inportent because I have other users that have the same issue and from their Diagnostic Report, I know which update that needs to be uninstalled/reinstalled, but I have yet to come up with steps to uninstall while Vista is in Reduced Functionality Mode.
Thank you for any help you can provide,

figured it out.
Unistalled KB925902, installed all other security fixes. Took a checkpoint and afterwards installed KB925902. Works well now.
Hmmm Seems like the install order of fixes are critical to the running of the system. Perhaps this should be looked into? It sucks that this is such a manual try and error process. The diag tool MGADiag is an excellent help, and contained the key clue to where to begin looking though.
