How to move SSRS Reports from Production to live CRM ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I want to deploy my SSRS reports from Production environment to Live.

I am not able to find a simple way for this.

Please let me know if there are any way.

My reports are Fetch SQL Query based reports.

ie. SELECT * FROM FilteredAccount AS CRMAF_FilteredAccount

    Please suggest.

  • Hello,

You could create new solution and add your reports into created solution and import it to your production server.

Or you could add your existing .rdl files manually  into your production server.

Hope this helps. If you get answer of your question, please mark the response as an answer and vote as helpful !

  • It seems very unusual that the report formatting would change during this process. I can think of two possible causes:

    • If you have different versions of SSRS in your environments. This could cause formatting changes, though that is unusual
    • If you have conditional formatting logic in your report, based on the data returned, and the data is different in the two environments

I suggest you check that the rdl is the same in each environment. You can do this by downloading the report definition, either through CRM or RS Report Manager

  • Hello David,

Yes , your second point is right.

rdl file are different when i download through CRM Application and when i download it through RS Manager.

It is when i upload the rdl file to CRM Application Report Entity. And then i do modify my report in RS Manager, So i think because of this it is like.

But if i change report through RS Manager, shouldn't it reflect to CRM Application level report when i download it ?

    Please suggest.
