Why no Custom Backup? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I go to Backup files, I am only given the choice to either Express (only using my ongoing series of discs) or Start a New Backup (10+ discs). Both are unnecessary and impractical. All I want to do is backup any changes from the last month on a new disc. How should I proceed?

  • That is the express backup for new or changed files. Each run of backup using an existing backup set will only backup new or changed files and adds these to your backup destination. Your only other option is to perform a new full backup.

Back up files that have changed since the last backup

Select this option if you want to perform an incremental backup(Backs up only those files that have been created or changed since the last full backup.)

    1. Click Express backup.
    2. Click Start backup.

To see which files were backed up, after the backup finishes, click View details.

     Perform a full backup

Select this option if you want to back up all the files that you selected in your backup plan.

    1. Click Start a new backup.
    2. Click Start backup.

To see which files were backed up, after the backup finishes, click View details.

  • Exactly where is this "express" or "start a new backup" option? I can't find it anywhere.
