Unable to sync ipaq with PC/Outlook 2007

Unable to sync my ipaq hx2790 with PC/Outlook 2007 with XP PRO SP 2. Ipaq gives no indication of trying to sync and ActiveSync 4.5 on my PC just keeps saying "Synchronizing" but it never syncs.
