Multi-line Text field only displays 2 lines when set to readonly using jscript RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have an approval process on a custom entity. When statuscode is set to submit, the entire form is set to read-only.  One field is a multi-line text field.  When the record is re-opened, the multi-line text field flashes all content (as jscript runs no doubt), but then only displays the first 2 lines of text as it greys out.  Users cannot read all the text as it is hidden.

    Any ideas why this happens?  How do I correct?

  • Turns out this is an IE 11 issue, confirmed by Microsoft.

  • CRM 2011, SQL2012 setting with code;Here is the code:

    function DefaultMemoStatus()
    {
    var MemoStatus = Xrm.Page.getAttribute("statuscode");
    var FormType = Xrm.Page.ui.getFormType();

    if(FormType == 1)
       {
          MemoStatus.setValue(1);
        }
    }

    function AllReadOnly_onchange()
    {
    var MemoStatus = Xrm.Page.getAttribute("statuscode");
    var controls = Xrm.Page.ui.controls.get();
    for (var i in controls)
       {
          var control = controls[i];
    if (!control.getDisabled() && MemoStatus.getValue() == 100000000)
          {
             control.setDisabled(true);
             Xrm.Page.data.entity.save();
           }
       }
    }

     this screen shot shows what the user sees on the record.  If you look at print preview, you see all the lines.
