WHS not starting up after first install... RRS feed

  • Question

  • I installed WHS on a P4 3.2 GHZ system i had here. It has 1GB RAM, 80gb HDD on ATA. So I installed WHS and it restarted a couple of times during the setup thingy. Then when it was finally running for the first time (which i got from the fact that it showed "windows home server" and a loading bar), it  stayed at that loading screen and then went blank. The HDD loading light went blank and everything dead. I left it there for 5-10 mins. Still no response.

So i reinstalled the thingy and tried again. Again same response..

So then i tried starting it in safe mode. And it starts up.. But I dont know where to go now..

Sorry bout being so noobish but i'm seriously stuck here.. and need some help....

  • Did you leave the installation DVD in all the time?

  • When the OS starts to install it can reboot 2-3 times - YOU MUST PRESS NOTHING HERE or it will start the whole process again.
