Can Live Mesh be used on an iPod Touch?

Question
-
I want to be able to use my iPod Touch to enable me to access my gedcom files on my desktop.I am thinking (may be naively) that I would be able to access my records while researching offsite, using Live Mesh, subject to there being a wi fi access. Could this be possible?Tuesday, August 4, 2009 11:44 AM

Not for remote access, but you can connect to your Live Desktop folders at m.mesh.com from your mobile browser. What this means is that you would want to make the folder (on your desktop PC) into a Live Mesh folder, which will sync all files and changes to a folder at www.mesh.com that you can access from anywhere using your Live Mesh LiveID.
The iPod Touch is not supported for the client install for mobile.
And, the mobile client does not support remote desktop to the other devices in your Mesh even if it were a supported mobile device for the client install.

There is an app in the AppStore called "iExplorer" that you can use to access your live mesh folders from your iTouch.Tuesday, September 22, 2009 10:02 PM
