SSO command line installation fails with error code 1603 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are trying to automate the remote installation of vCenter 5.1 using batch files. The sequence of the installation is Single-Sign-On, Inventory & vcServer. So we have created the batch files of the aforesaid three components and invoke them in the same order. The installation is successful when done on a local VM, but it gives Error : 1603 when we invoke the Single-Sign-On batch file on remote VM using a PSSession.

    Contents of SSo.bat is:

    start /wait C:\vc\Single_Sign_On\\"vCenter Single Sign On.msi"\ /L1033 /v"/qr MASTER_PASSWORD=Admin@12345 RSA_DBA_PASSWORD=Admin.67890 RSA_USER_PASSWORD=Admin.67890 CONFIG_TYPE=Setup SETUP_TYPE=Basic SSO_DB_SERVER_TYPE=Bundled COMPUTER_FQDN=10.211.34.2 SSO_HTTPS_PORT=7444 INSTALLDIR=\"C:\vCenter\" /L*v \"c:\vim-sso-msi.log\""

Here's the log file for it.

Due to which error remote installation of SSO fails?
