Hi,
Since you want to become a developer, and you like MVC, I suggest that you pursue the MCSD track for web technologies. There are three exams in the series, 70-480, 70-486, and 70-487. these exams are based on the newest version of Visual Studio.
Here is a link to the page about the certification: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcsd-web-apps-certification.aspx#fbid=1AhkEICJEMc
Here is a link to the Microsoft Virtual Academy site. It has some great free content to help you get started: http://www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com/
You can download the free express versions of Visual Studio to try out the technologies from this site: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng#products/visual-studio-express-products
