WGA has locked me out of my computer RRS feed

  • Question

  • After reloading windows 'cos of a software crash. I got the "This is not genuine.. message" (not for the 1st time!). I ran wga diagnostic. Installed SP2 and restarted. Now I'm commpletely locked out both in normal and safe mode. I've had XP Home for years and it is genuine (unless Microsoft sold me a fake copy!). It has repeatedly said it wasn't genuine but running wga diagnostic has always cleared it before, but not this time. I'm thoroughly fed up with this never ending hassle from Microsoft.  What the hell can I do? To access support I have to provide the data that is locked away in the computer - so no support. Very clever, I'm sure

  • Spirefm,

Neither the WGA Validation Tool nor the WGA Notifications Tool is designed to lock you out of your computer.

And please be very specific about what is happening......in what manner are you locked out, how did this come about, what was it you were doing immediately before the lockout, etc.
