Default Search List Needs to be Customizable RRS feed

    I only ever work in C# so my searches are always in these forums.  Whenever I have to do a search I have to select the appropriate forum from the drop down.  Otherwise a search is done in all MSDN forums and returns a lot of useless information.

    It would be useful if my profile could save my preferred forum as the default and set this in the browser for me.

    if you search from a forum, it will default to that forum.

    If you're speaking of a category of forums, you can view just that category by clicking on the category title, and then the search should default to that category. Then you can bookmark that...

    Yes but what if you are not in a forum?  For example I sometimes start my search from MyThreads.
