"JFB214" wrote in message news:9c19d489-e488-4e79-a47e-e09d8e88c63e...thanks for the quick reply. However when I try to go the windows genuine validation page I see the page for about a second and then it goes to a microsoft bing search page. But I was able to get the page to not forward by pressing the stop button so I was able to download the file, but when I ran it, it does the same thing and I can't get it to run. Thanks Steve
Please try the below steps to recreate the Licensing Store files. This may resolve the issue.
1) Open an Internet Browser window.
2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
3) Find the file CMD.exe
4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
5) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
9) Type: net start slsvc
10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
11) Restart your computer twice.
12) You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate.
Once complete, please post back with a new MGADiag report

Your system is reporting a not genuine - 'Input Key not found' - but I can see no specific cause for it.I suggest first going to the validation site, and attempting to Validate WindowsIf it fails, go to the Diagnostics page, and see if the suggestions there can help. When done (pass or fail), run another MGADiag report and post the results in your reply.

thanks for the quick reply. However when I try to go the windows genuine validation page I see the page for about a second and then it goes to a microsoft bing search page. But I was able to get the page to not forward by pressing the stop button so I was able to download the file, but when I ran it, it does the same thing and I can't get it to run. This problem seems to be becoming more common of late! We've not successfully resolved any instances in these forums (that I am aware of) so unless you're prepared for a long haul, I suggest that you go direct to WGA Support, and create a support incident, for direct help from MS.You should raise a WGA Support incident at the appropriate site below - make sure that you pick the validation/WGA options along the way and the support should be free.
