customize search criteria for contacts RRS feed

  • i'm looking for a way to customize the search for contacts on the default contact page.  i'd like to be able to search on a custom field in the contact form, in addition to name.  is this possible?  thanks

    Yes it is possible you can add fields up to as per required. In CRM go to Settings->Customization->Customizations->Customize the System->Entities->Contacts->Views, double click on the Quick Find Active Contacts view and then click on Add Find Columns button to select additional fields for searching and click on Add View Columns to include fields that should display in search result. Save and Close view and Publish Entity Customizations.

  • Yes it is possible.

     

    For CRM 2011:  CRM Client >> open Contact form >> Customize tab >> Customize entity >> Views >> Quick Find Active Contact View >> Add Find Column (right side) >> select the fields you like to search on >> save and publish
